Washington and Lee law professor Christopher Seaman recently participated in a workshop for the INPRECOMP Project at Arizona State Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in Phoenix, Arizona. This workshop, held on March 23-24, 2017, is the second in a series which advances the work of the International Patent Remedies for Complex Products (INPRECOMP) Project.
The INPRECOMP project brings 20 leading patent law scholars from 12 different countries together to work on harmonizing patent remedies across jurisdictions, particularly for complex products. The output from the project will be a book-length treatment of patent remedies, with recommendations and areas for future research. Professor Seaman is the Group Leader for the future chapter on damages based on the patentee’s lost profits and disgorgement of the infringer’s profits.
