Washington and Lee Law professor Mark Drumbl recently commented on the ongoing legal case of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange to Al Jazeera news. Drumbl was quoted in a February 28 article, “How Assange Case Highlights Crime of Psychological Torture,” noting that Assange’s pending extradition to the United States to face espionage charges may violate international law.
Mark Drumbl is the Class of 1975 Alumni Professor of Law and Director of the Transnational Law Institute at W&L Law. He is a recognized scholar in several areas including Mass Violence and Human Rights, Genocide and Wartime Atrocity, International Governance, and Criminal Law.
