Professor Seaman’s scholarship on trade secrets named one of the top new articles in IP law

Washington and Lee law professor Christopher Seaman’s article “Toward a Federal Jurisprudence of Trade Secrecy” (with co-author Sharon K. Sandeen) was recently selected for republication in the 2018 edition of the Intellectual Property Law Review.  The article was originally published in volume 23 of the Berkeley Technology Law Journal  

The Intellectual Property Law Review is published by Thomson Reuters and updated annually.  It covers major developments in patents, trademarks, and copyrights, as well as relevant topics affecting practice and procedure.

On April 17, 2018, Professor Seaman’s article “The DTSA at One: An Empirical Study of the First Year of Litigation Under the Defend Trade Secret Acts” (with co-author David S. Levine) was cited in written testimony by a witness at a hearing titled “Safeguarding Trade Secrets in the United States” before the Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet of the House Judiciary Committee.  The article is forthcoming in the Wake Forest Law Review.
