Dean Nora Demleitner, Dean of the Washington & Lee University School of Law and Roy L. Steinheimer, Jr. Professor of Law recently published a piece entitled The Challenges to Legal Education in 1973 and 2012: An Introduction to the Anniversary Issue of the Hofstra Law Review, 40 Hofstra L. Rev. 639 (2012). In the piece, Dean Demleitner pays tribute to the school were she was formerly the Dean, discussing challenges to legal education and the legal profession forty years ago and today.
Dean Demleitner also recently spoke on legal education at the Society of American Law Teacher’s (SALT) Conference in Baltimore, serving as a panelist for a discussion on “Costs in Legal Education.” The program for the event is available here.
